Bratislava
Young people from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia come together to develop their own ideas for a sustainable future. Workshop in German language.

The Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa) is organising an international youth exchange project with its cultural managers at the organisations of the German minority in three countries - Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The think tank will be held in Bratislava/Pressburg from 24 June (arrival day) to 27 June 2022 (departure day). The project will be conducted in German.

During the Think Tank, participants from the three countries will come together to discuss climate change and sustainability in workshops. During the joint workshops, the participants can also network with each other in order to strengthen cross-border cooperation and gain a global perspective on the German minority.

In terms of content, the think tank is intended to increase awareness of the issues of sustainability, climate change and climate justice among the German minority and to act as a "lighthouse" for the majority society in order to make a contribution to combating the impending climate catastrophe.

Furthermore, the project is intended to serve in the long term to raise the awareness of young people with regard to their commitment to the German minority. A total of 30 young people between the ages of 16 and 21 are invited.

The programme consists of theoretical and practical elements. On the one hand, workshops on climate justice and fast fashion will be offered. On the other hand, the participants will develop their own ideas for projects in groups, which they can implement in their regions.
