General about #cleanupneeds...

The Climate Needs You initiative aims to activate the public and harness public support in favour of addressing the climate crisis as one of the main social and political issues in Slovakia. We are a group that still believes in the best possible future. Through their activities, they try to actively communicate the issue of climate change on social networks or through other media. They educate and activate the public in order to engage active individuals, creating and supporting a strong public movement. They organise public actions, events and act in public space. The initiative's activities equally include advocacy, creating public campaigns and influencing climate policies at all levels.

Why does it make sense for us to be part of the event?

Today, the Climate Needs You Initiative is actively convening dozens of individuals, organizing regular public meetings, campaigning, and gradually building a strong public movement. The past year has shown us how important active communities are in addressing the climate crisis. They create a space for meeting, supporting each other, engaging new people and, above all, taking action together. Strong communities have the potential to organise and mobilise the public at a local level, engaging individuals face-to-face and helping them find their own way to engage with climate change.

Collaborating with Punkt to organise the Good Market, one of the largest community events in Bratislava, which this year with the slogan "good relationships, good climate" also seeks to draw attention to the acute climate crisis, was a natural step for the initiative. What each of us can do in our daily lives today has its limits. That is why we need to look for ways in which we can work together in the necessary solutions. How we can activate our neighbourhoods, engage our neighbourhoods and create active climate communities.

About the activities...

This year we are part of the September Good Market on Virgin as #climateandneed. One of the largest community events in Bratislava, the theme of the autumn edition "good relationships, good climate" also seeks to draw attention to the acute climate crisis.

In collaboration with the initiative, we have developed a "climate zone" to take a closer look at the impact of our relationships on the environment and how healthy community life and building strong communities can improve our climate.

The zone will include selected vendors, discussions, children's activities, readings, workshops, a gastro and chill zone, along with #climateandneed activities.

The past year of #climateneeds activity has shown how important active communities are in tackling the climate crisis. They regularly hold public meetings, educate and share, engage new people, and seek to foster the emergence of active climate communities.
