Our our first informal meetup in Nová Cvernovka on 19. June, we came together outside in the sun in the stage area. While listening to Mária Beňačková Rišková, one of the curators of Year of Climate Care, taking about the project, we had homemade cheese cake and drank lemonade. In addition to than the curators, organizers and partners of Year of Climate Care, we welcomed some new faces, who were interested in the topics and the goals we are achieving with the project. “What is the aim of the project?”, “How to take part in the project as a non-partner?”, “What is New European Bauhaus (NEB)?”, “How can institutions participate in NEB?” were some of the newcomers’ questions we discussed about. Additionally, Zuzana Duchová, curator of YCC, gave a short report about the New European Bauhaus Festival that took place in June.
We talked about various upcoming events and projects, as well as weather and how we, as Year of Climate Care organizers, want to continue the project in 2023. The question about possibilities of funding came also up and connected to this the idea of the Creative Europe Call.
A reporter from Radio Slovakia International joined us and did an interview with Mária Beňačková Rišková, we will provide the link once the interview is published.
